Pros and cons of My Medications app for iPhone and iPad

My Medications app good for

need to sync with iPad,iPhone and my computer. other wise a great app
Great app; allows us to easily track all medications, allergies, Doctor / Insurance information for my elderly Mother. However, the list of Medications needs to be kept up-to-date! We frequently have to manually enter newer medication information, which is very time consuming.
With the latest software put out by Apple, you now get a message if a possible slow down. The AMA needs to update it.

Some bad moments

Doesn’t allow much customization to allow for different forms of a medication or different doses. Repeatedly closes while information is being typed in.
Great site really helps with keeping track of our medicines we take.
This app has all the basics: meds, allergies, providers, a place to add explanatory notes in a common sense interface. Easy look-ups for meds. Providers and emergency contacts easily added from your contact list. The only thing it lacks is the ability to add another person such as a spouse or child. Im hoping to see this in a future version.
* Freezes after two medications are entered *. Not really worth the cost
Only allows allergies to animals like Dog or Cat?!?! My patients dont carry an EpiPen because their eyes water around a pet! What about Bee venom? Needs more drug allergy options, too. Get a consult from a pharmacist. Where are the fields for: date of birth, blood type, past medical history, past surgical history... I know it was only a buck but there are better solutions.
As a physician I bought this to evaluate whether or not I could recommend it to my patients. The section on Allergies is poorly done. There should not be "other" medication as a category. It should be the same as the medication section--simply enter the medication youre allergic to. Also, under immunizations, it lists tetanus but not dTap or DT. There is an important distinction there. This app needs a lot of work and is an embarrassment to the AMA.
